Cooler Master shows PC concept without fans

Cooler Master and several other manufacturers take advantage of events such as Computex 2024 and others to demonstrate general concepts and ideals – many of which do not reach stores, but attract attention and show a different point of view to the public. One of these ideas was a PC without fans, which was timidly presented last week.

This system revolves around three of the corporation’s products, two of which have already been officially announced: the Cooler Master Qube 500 Flatpack case with ventilation openings on its side and the X Silent Edge Platinum 850W power supply. The “fanless” thermal system is the third, which does not have a specific name.

According to Cooler Master, the “PC without fans” can work with them included, but it has a passive mode that removes this need as well. To cool the CPU, it is equipped with a cooler that has six heat pipes – which make direct contact with the base connected to the processor.

The manufacturer points out that its heatsink can sustain up to 250W with ease and has 15 or 16 aluminum fins. Despite taking up a large space, they also ensure that their design helps the user accommodate large memory profiles and GPUs.

Cooler Master’s X Silent Edge Platinum PSU uses an 8-pipe cooling solution with a copper base. Its exterior is made of aluminum, which also helps the PC without fans to operate without major problems.

Cooler Master Fanless PC Components

In addition, Cooler Master also released the specifications of its fanless PC. It uses an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 motherboard with ATX design, as well as an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU. The system also has two T-Force Vulcan DDR5-5200 (CL40) and storage with an M.2 MP33 SSD.

Of everything that was presented, only the Qube 500 case was not announced as a product that they will launch in the future. For the rest, Cooler Master has not yet released a release date – however, they should hit the market in the second half of 2024.
