As liquid-cooled AIO coolers become more popular, Cooler Master this week brought a new component for those looking for a more traditional cooling system. The Hyper 612 Apex features two 120mm Mobius 120P fans and is 30% smaller than its predecessor, maintaining the same performance, according to its manufacturer.
“The Hyper 612 Apex is designed to meet the needs of users looking for efficient cooling without excessive size,” said Jimmy Sha, CEO of Cooler Master. “With our advanced heat pipe technology and compact design, this cooler delivers high-performance results while remaining user-friendly for a wide range of builds.”
Among the features of its new cooler, Cooler Master highlights that the heat pipes are “super conductive” of heat, capable of handling heavy thermal loads. The company even recommends the Hyper 612 Apex for overclocking, even without using liquid cooling.
The company also highlights that the product is easy to disassemble, with a magnetic cover and fans that are simple to resolve, which should facilitate the process of installing the component. The design probably helps with cleaning the cooler as well.
Cooler Master Hyper 612 Apex technical details
The new compact cooler is compatible with AMD AM4 and AM5 sockets, and Intel LGA 1851, 1700, 1200, 1151, 1150, 1155 and 1156. It measures 127 x 114 x 159mm, and the manufacturer estimates that it is enough to provide more space free to fit memories.
The fans spin at up to 2,400RPM and offer an airflow of 75.2CFM, with a pressure of up to 3.63mmH20. The noise level is below 30dBA, even with high speed operation.
