Colorfire B850M-MEOW, Colorful’s kitten microATX board, will have global launch

Colorful is preparing to launch the Colorfire 850M-MEOW globally, its microATX motherboard with AM5 socket and feline-inspired details. The model has been available in China since September, but will soon arrive here bringing an option with a very different look.

DIY hardware components with more colorful and unusual designs are often restricted to China, so anyone looking to create a different (and compact) build needs to check out the Colorfire 850M-MEOW. As it appears in the images, the sign is almost completely white, featuring some paw prints to do justice to the MEOW of the name.

Products from the Colorfire line generally use more striking colors, with orange being a recurring feature. Maybe that’s why the 850M-MEOW is gaining global availability, as it brings more discreet colors that buyers here are more accustomed to seeing.

Going into the technical details, the Colorfire 850M-MEOW is an AM5 board with four DDR5-8000 slots, supporting up to 192GB. The power design offers 10+2+1 phases and most of the components are covered by Colorful Frost heatsinks.

For the graphics card there is a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and another PCIe 4.0 x4, full size. The card contains a PCIe 5.0 SSD drive and another PCIe 4.0 drive, accompanied by four SATA ports.

The new 850M-MEOW is a Wi-Fi model, offering Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, in addition to a 5GbE port for wired internet. Finally, we have HDMI and DisplayPort ports as video outputs, accompanied by a USB collection. It is also worth mentioning that the BIOS on this board has a very different look:
