The film adaptation of Minecraft finally had its trailer revealed at the beginning of the month, and since then it has been dividing fans’ opinions. However, one thing cannot be denied: the film is being well reviewed.
Now, finally more details about the film are beginning to emerge. During the Minecraft Live event, the team behind the film shared a new video with several interviews and details about the progress and development of the adaptation, including a never-before-seen scene.

The crafting scene revealed
The new clip is present in the released video, between a conversation with Torfi Frans Olafsson, creative director at Mojang, and Jared ess, director of A Minecraft Movie. In it, we can see more details about a scene that was only shown very briefly during the first trailer.
In the excerpt, the characters interact with the famous workbench in a very similar way to what players are used to in the game: combining items and creating tools. Once again the film gives signs that it intends to follow many aspects of the games to the letter, placing them on the screen with maximum fidelity.
The scene shows Steve (Jack Black) quickly and simply revealing how the crafting bench works in the cubic world. Just place the materials in certain spaces and hit with the hammer to create the new item. Garret “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Jason Momoa) tries to make something better, but ends up with a slightly different item. Check it out:
Although the scene itself is still brief, it makes it clear that they will maintain the simplicity and logic of crafting already present in the games. Just like in the game, characters seem to combine resources in a simple way, using basic materials and environmental blocks to solve problems or progress in the story.
The appearance of the bee and other details
Another highlight of the clip was the first appearance of the bee, a creature that was introduced in the game and became a community favorite. In the film, the bee appears to be represented in a slightly different way than in the digital version. Fan reaction to this change is still mixed, but the clip suggests that the bee will play an important role in certain scenes.
Check out the clip of the Minecraft bee (she appears at the end of the video, but for those who want to see all the interviews, just go back to the beginning).
Furthermore, there is an expectation around how the film will incorporate other famous Minecraft mechanics, such as mining, building structures and surviving in an environment full of dangers, all in a way that is faithful to the creative spirit of the game.
