Early benchmark results are always an interesting way to check out early information for new GPUs, but this time we have a very atypical model leaking on Geekbench. This weekend the synthetic performance test was updated with results for Lisuan G100 from China.

The video card in question is fully developed and manufactured in China. Lisuan’s Truegpu architecture is based on 6nm in the process of Chinese giant SMIC. Like so many technology companies in the country, Lisuan also seeks the creation of independent products of foreign components and designs with Lisuan G100.

The results that appear in Geekbench, however, do not look like the most promising. At least not at first. The plate scored 15,524 points in the test, a number comparable to Nvidia GTX 660 TI, launched 13 years ago. So it’s interesting to deepen this information a little.

Preliminary result of Lisuan G100 hardly represents the final potential of the product

Lisuan would have promised a comparable performance to the RTX 4060 with its G100, which seems like a distant achievement and, basically, impossible when we observe the geekbench numbers.

However, according to Benchmark information, Lisuan G100 would have 256MB of memory, with 300mHz clock.

These are numbers completely out of reality for a modern GPU, and they seem to be test report errors, possibly due to drivers compatibility problems.

That is, the results seem to refer to very initial and non -finished models of the board, without the support appropriate to the test. Lisuan is estimated to begin the risk production of its video signs, and the company is expected to reach mass production at the end of the year-or early next year.

What does you effectively expect from the Chinese GPU?

While the Geekbench test should not be seen as something definitive, it is difficult to bet that Lisuan will fulfill its RTX 4060 performance promise with its first GPU.

As already shown by Chinese Moore Threads, there is a hard way to compete with companies that add up to decades of experience in GPUS. Especially in a country with increasingly restricted access to foreign components.

Even for Intel, with all its size and influence, it was not possible to arrive with the “foot on the door” with its GPUS ARC.

Thus, it will be interesting to follow Lisuan and see what the G100 will effectively be able to deliver to its debut. And especially in which price range the company intends to insert its first video card in 6nm.
