Bloomberg reports that China prepares to make an important transition from plans in its large national technology investment fund. Known as Big Fund III (Great Fund III), the investment package adds to the equivalent of US $ 47 billion, and will now be intended for different segments from the original plans due to the US trade war.
According to site information, Chinese authorities want to focus on their investments to develop lithography and software tools for electronics design and integrated circuits (EDA). That is, the idea is to invest in areas that are increasingly restricted by US technology export sanctions.
Big Fund III is how the third stage of the Fund for investment in the China Integrated Integrated Circuit Industry became known. The original plan was to focus on areas where the country is already emerging in technologies, such as manufacturing tools and the most general semiconductor ecosystem.

Bloomberg also reports that China has not yet finished gathering the necessary investments for the $ 47 billion total of its investment fund. Huawei would also be interested in the development of lithography equipment, according to rumors, but the company may not apply for Big Fund III investments.
