A Buffalo officially launched the HD-SKLa transparent external hard disk of limited edition that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the company. The new product joins the nostalgic charm of a retro design with the functionality of a modern 4TB hard drive aimed at collectors and technology enthusiasts.
The highlight of Buffalo HD-SKL is in the look. With a transparent front panel, the device allows users to directly see the dishes spinning and reading arms moving on the magnetic surface – a view that refers to the beginnings of physical storage.
The HD structure is made of machined and anodized aluminum, reinforcing the appeal of a “premium quality” product, according to Buffalo. HD-SKL is mounted on an angled metal support, which favors the visualization of internal components when positioned on a table.

Return to the past
This model is, in fact, a modern reinterpretation of the First “Skeleton HDD” released by Buffalo in 1978reinforcing the nostalgic tone of the celebration.
