AI AI AI Max+ Apus from AMD, also known by the code name Strix Halo, brought a new level of performance to Mini PCs and notebooks. This also means, of course, new price limits. And Bosgame was not shy in the M5 announcement, which features Ryzen Ai Max+ 395 for values starting at $ 1,699 ($ 9,628).
It is worth remembering that AMD’s line -top strix offers 16 Zen 5 nuclei, accompanied by 32 threads, but it is in its integrated graphics that the true differential of the line resides. Endowed with a 4060s Radeon 8060s GPU, enough performance for modern games and even some tasks would be expected.
Once Bosgame is charging for a high end system on its new M5 mini PC, the company has also equipped the product with 128GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD Gen 4 SSD. Unfortunately for those who like upgrades, memory is LPDDR5X, preventing it from stirring this configuration. At least it comes with up to 8,533mhz of speed.
The company promises that the result is a compact computer that can deliver more performance than a RTX 4090 to the Llama 3 model on LM Studio.
Bosgame includes “Performance Mode” switch on your mini PC
One of Bosgame M5’s dissemination images highlights the presence of a switch for “performance mode”, but does not explain what that means.
In addition to a flashy design that includes RGB lights on the front, the mini PC also incorporates a large number of connections. It is a USB-C 4.0 port and two USB-A 3.2 at the front, accompanied by a P2 headphone p2 and a SDXC card slot.
