According to Yan Fang, a salesman from Shanghai interviewed by the South China Morning Post, the launch of Black Myth Wukong is a big win for the PlayStation 5 in China. “The PS5 offers the best option for those who want to play Wukong but can’t afford NVIDIA’s 40-series hardware [para jogar no PC]”.

Black Myth Wukong and PlayStation 5 join hands in China
According to the South China Morning Post, a week before the release of Black Myth Wukong, demand for the PlayStation 5 had begun to increase. Stores such as Alibaba and Taobao, two of China’s largest retailers, did not reveal the number of units sold. However, they commented on how demand increased by up to 100% year-on-year (compared to the same period last year).
After the release of Black Myth Wukong, the PS5 rose to the #1 “Hot Item” position on sites like Tmall. This shows how Chinese interest in the game has also boosted sales of the hardware. Many people want to try the title, but aren’t looking to build a full PC, so the PS5 comes out as a good option.
Black Myth Wukong was released this week on PC and PlayStation 5, becoming an immediate success. The Game Science game is now available on GeForce Now. In addition, the Phantom Blade Zero devs congratulated the game on its success. It seems that Sony was right to encourage the game’s release on its console and must also be happy to see Phantom Blade Zero in development for the PS5.
