Biostar, during Computex 2024, revealed its new AMD X870E Valkyrie motherboard for the new “Granite Ridge” Ryzen 9000 processors.
Despite being made for the new generation of CPUs, the mainboard is also compatible with the Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 8000 line through the AM5 socket – in addition to supporting four DDR5 SSDs with memory of up to 192GB.

Within the event, Biostar released the entire list of features available on the AMD X870E Valkyrie motherboard. Check out all the items below:
- Support for Ryzen 9000/8000/7000 desktop processors;
- AMD X870E chip architecture;
- Support 4-DIMM DDR5 up to 192GB of memory;
- Support for AMD EXPO Technology and Intel XMP;
- 18+2+2 phases and SPS 110A power design;
- 2 slots PCIe 5.0×16 e 1 slot PCIe 4.0×16;
- 6 SATA III, 1 M.2 (PCIe Gen5x4) e 3 M.2 (PCIe Gen4x4);
- DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 video output;
- Two USB4 Type-C inputs (display output is also supported);
- Eight USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports;
- Realtek ALC1220 7.1 CH HD audio codec, Gold Audio Caps;
- Chip Realtek 2.5G Ethernet LAN;
- Support for SMART BIOS UPDATE and SMART BIOS UPDATE USB Port buttons.
Additionally, Biostar’s AMD X870E Valkyrie motherboard also has WiFi 7 connectivity – guaranteeing users even lower latency and improved performance across all three frequency bands. The USB4 inputs also allow for high transfer rates, which can reach up to 40 Gbps.
The Features of Biostar Valkyrie X870E
In addition to the specifications mentioned above, Biostar also announced that the AMD X870E Valkyrie motherboard will feature VIVID LED DJ+RGB SYNC – adding an improved RGB system to users and also compatibility with peripheral devices, bringing greater customization to your computer.
It will come with the “Auto Installer” feature, allowing software to automatically download and install its drivers on the Windows operating system.
Biostar did not reveal a suggested price or release date for the AMD X870E Valkyrie motherboard. The hardware will be aimed at gaming experiences, content creation and also for generative AI computing.
