Backbone has revealed a limited edition Death Stranding 2 controller. The gaming controller maker has only prepared 1,350 units that will be made available worldwide. This is the first time that the company has created a limited edition controller officially licensed by PlayStation.
For the launch, Backbone entered into a partnership with Kojima Productions to make the product even more exclusive.

Compatible with USB-C smartphones like the iPhone 15 (or newer) and Android devices, the controller is also compatible with cloud gaming apps and services like PS Remote Play, Apple Arcade, GeForce NOW, and PCs.

Backbone claims that the limited edition Backbone One controller was inspired by Sam from Death Stranding 2. And each controller comes in a sturdy, collectible case designed especially for this edition. There is an individual number and each model includes a commemorative collector’s label.
In other words, the company is striving to ensure that each user knows that they have a unique product in their hands.

The partnership between Backbone and Kojima uses control Second-generation Backbone One, which includes magnetic adapters. This allows compatibility with popular phone cases and ensures a great gaming experience even without removing the case from the devices.
The redesigned D-pad improves responsiveness, resulting in superior feel and control across all gaming genres. Combined with the company’s app, you can record, edit and share your matches.

Users can also keep track of what their friends are playing and decide if they want to participate.
Launch and Availability

The Backbone One Death Stranding 2 controller will be released on November 6th at 2pm (BrasÃlia time) on the Backbone website and Best Buy Drops.
It will also be available at the Kojima Productions store from 12pm (Japan time) for US$159.99 (R$865.69). When converting time, will be available from midnight, according to BrasÃlia time.

Users can now sign up to receive updates and be notified when units become available. Backbone claims it can ship this limited edition controller to 55 countries, including Brazil.
Unfortunately, Brazilians will probably not be able to benefit from free shipping, at least in theory. For other products, this option is only available for the USA, Australia, Canada, European Union, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
