ASUSTOR launched the new series Flashstor Gen2which includes the Flashstor 6 Gen2 and Flashstor 12 Pro Gen2. The new products bring hardware upgrades to meet the demands of network shared storage enthusiasts and professionals.
The new Flashstor Gen2 models use a 6 nm AMD Quad-Core Ryzen Embedded V3C14 CPU, clocked at up to 3.8 GHz. Both have a 10 Gigabit Ethernet connection and dual USB4 ports compatible with Thunderbolt devices and direct connection technology.

Differences
The main difference is in storage, where the Flashstor 6 Gen2 comes equipped with 6 slots M.2 para SSDs NVMe, 8 GB de RAM DDR5-4800. O Flashstor 12 Pro Gen2 doubles maximum capacity with 12 M. 2 slots for NVMe SSDs and 16 GB of DDR5 ECC memory.
The Flashstor 12 Gen2 model also has an additional Ethernet port.
Other features
With support for multichannel SMB, the Flashstor Gen2 series achieves speeds of up to 2331 MB/s read and 2358 MB/s write. Combined with the Xpanstor 4 USB expansion device, the Flashstor Gen2 series can also support hard drives for extra capacity or backups.
Both devices support up to 64GB of ECC memory, which can detect and correct errors, improving system stability and reliability while reducing the risk of data corruption.
With an upgraded cooling system featuring two ultra-quiet fans and high-efficiency heat pipes, Asustor has increased the effectiveness of heat dissipation generated by the processor, network ports and SSDs.
The Flashstor Gen2 series comes with the ADM 5.0 operating system and the Linux kernel updated to version 6.6.
