ASUS released a teaser on its social networks for the ROG G1000, a new case that the company intends to show at CES 2026. The video does not provide many details about the product, but it already shows its main highlight: a large holographic panel on the side.
The teaser shows the name AniMe Holo, possibly the name of the new aesthetic feature that ASUS intends to showcase for the case. The display does not have a traditional format, in fact it is LED strips in a large cross that rotates, occupying almost the entire side panel.
The formation of the image with the rotating LEDs creates a holographic effect that gives the illusion of 3D images. It’s the same principle that we’ve already seen used in some fans, but taken to very large proportions.
The video doesn’t quite show the feature in operation, but it makes it clear that this is the intention with an animation of the ROG logo coming out of the case towards the viewer.
The post also highlights that the ASUS G1000 will have its full reveal on the company’s live broadcast for CES 2026, on January 5th, at 8pm (BrasÃlia time).
CES is the stage for many conceptual products
It’s always good to remember that companies like ASUS take advantage of CES to showcase conceptual products, which are often very far from becoming reality, or which end up never reaching the shelves.
The ROG G1000 is certainly a very different case from what we’ve seen from the brand, so there’s a chance it’s a show-only model, at least for now.
