ASUS and Noctua made the official announcement of GeForce RTX 5080 NOCTUA EDITION, created with ASUS design and Noctua cooling system. This sign was shown first on Computex 2025, but now companies have made their general public dissemination, and Asus promises “the quietest video card in their class.”
The official disclosure of the plate brings a little more detail. The companies reiterate the presence of the three Fans NF-A12x25 G2 in the product-120 x 25mm fans. Inside we have a steam chamber with seven 8mm heads and another four of 6mm.
This advanced cooling system is used not to bring RTX 5080 NOCTU Edition CLOCs to higher values, but rather offer high performance with little noise.

The most interesting part of ASUS’s dissemination is that it is accompanied by a NOCTU document that shows the cooling performance of RTX 5080 NOCTUA EDITION.
The promise of “silent GPU of your class” seems to cover products from other brands as well, but unfortunately the tests compare the plate only with other ASUS models, TUF Gaming and Rog Astral. At least, compared to these, the RTX 5080 Noctua Edition actually showed a more effective and silent cooling.
With the same energy level, the plate reaches lower temperatures with less noise. With the fans spinning at the same speed, the new RTX 5080 also makes less noise and colder wheel – both in the GPU and in Vram modules.
Unfortunately, what neither Asus or Noctua released is still the price of the plate.
