ASUS’ new NUC 14 Pro AI unveiled with Lunar Lake CPU

Taking advantage of the official debut of the Lunar Lake generation of Intel processors, ASUS has not only introduced notebooks, but also a new mini PC in the NUC format. The NUC 14 Pro AI is focused on AI, even featuring a dedicated button for Windows Copilot.

In terms of hardware, ASUS’ new NUC comes with CPU options up to the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V. In addition, it offers a maximum of 32GB of RAM, in LPDDR5X technology, at 8533MHz, but the memory is integrated, not allowing upgrades after purchase.

Apparently the device does not come with an SSD, but it offers space and support for M.2 2280 NVMe drives.

The ASUS NUC 14 Pro AI also offers Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 for connectivity. There are several USB ports, including two USB 3.2 and one USB-C (Thunderbolt 4) on the front. The device also offers an HDMI port on the back.

ASUS’ latest mini PC is one of the first of its kind with such a strong focus on AI. In addition to the Copilot button, it also has built-in speakers and a microphone for voice commands.

ASUS uses Lunar Lake to focus on AI

Those who follow the site may remember that the NUC 14 Pro first appeared in March. However, taking advantage of the specifications of the Lunar Lake CPUs, ASUS decided to put “AI” in the name of the new version of its mini PC. It is worth remembering that the new Intel processors have an NPU that meets the minimum specifications of the Copilot PC+.

As the device still adopts the previous format, we expect it to work only with integrated graphics – unlike the ROG NUC, which uses a dedicated GPU.

However, ASUS unfortunately didn’t want to talk about pricing for its latest product yet. The folks at Guru3D estimate somewhere between $600 and $900, depending on the configuration.
