Hardware enthusiasts, get ready: ASUS launches GeForce RTX 5060 Dual Evo Series, thinner and with smaller PCIe interface

ASUS has updated its website with the definitive models of the GeForce RTX 5060 EVO and RTX 5060 Ti EVO graphics cards, from the Dual series.

These new ASUS GPUswhich had previously been identified in hardware databases, now have official pages containing all its specifications.

The new features bring changes to the physical design in relation to the standard versions of the Dual line. THE refrigeration system has been redesigned for a slimmer profile, taking up 2.1 slots on the back of the computer, a reduction compared to the 2.5 slots of the conventional model.

However, before we proceed with more detailed information, check out a table with the main questions and answers (FAQ) about the new ASUS RTX 5060:

Question Response
What are ASUS Dual RTX 5060 EVO cards? These are new versions of the RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti graphics cards, with a redesigned physical design to be thinner.
What is the main physical difference? The cooler is thinner, taking up 2.1 slots on the computer, compared to 2.5 slots on common Dual models.
Has the PCIe connector changed? Yes. They use a shorter PCIe x8 connector, different from the traditional x16 connector.
Has the position of the power cord changed? Yes. The 8-pin connector is closer to the back of the case, which may affect cable routing.
Are they more powerful than the standard versions? No. The operating clocks (speeds) are the same as the regular Dual RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti cards.
What features from the Dual series have been retained? The Axial-tech fans, 0dB silent mode, reinforced PCB and ventilated metal backplate were maintained.
Which models are part of the EVO line? The line has four models: RTX 5060 8GB EVO, RTX 5060 OC 8GB EVO, RTX 5060 Ti 16GB EVO and RTX 5060 Ti OC 16GB EVO.
Where can I find the full specifications? Detailed technical specifications are listed on official ASUS pages and hardware databases.

Video card connector and layout changes

Returning to the main topic, another significant technical change is in the bus. THE ASUS opted for a PCIe x8 connector of reduced length at the edge of the plate, different from the connector x16 complete used in most models on the market.

This choice indicates a printed circuit board (PCB) with a modified design. The position of the 8-pin power connector was also changed. On EVO boards it is located closest to the rear I/O bracket.

This change may require attention to cable management in the caseas the available space and the length of the power supply cables will be decisive factors.

Specifications and clock remain unchanged

Despite the constructive changes, the ASUS did not increase operating speeds (clock) of the new plates.

The version ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti EVO OC Edition with 16GB GDDR7 memoryfor example, works with a maximum frequency 2632 MHz in overclock mode, value identical to that of the card Dual RTX 5060 Ti 16GB Common OC.

The manufacturer maintained the characteristic features of the Dual family. A list includes Axial-tech fansa 0dB technology which turns off the coolers at low load, a printed circuit board with structural reinforcement and a perforated metal backplate for better airflow.
