Asus announced this week the global launch of its latest Micro-ATX motherboard, the B850m Ayw Gaming Wi-Fi. The model brings socket AM5 to users interested in setting up a compact PC using AMD Ryzen processors.
The plate measures 24.4 x 22.1cm, but still comes with two SSDs slots in M.2 format. One of the slots is compatible with PCIE 5.0 and comes with a dissipator, while the other is directly exposed and uses PCIE 4.0 interface.
ASUS B850m Ayw Gaming WiFi also offers two GPUs and other peripheral slots. One of them compatible with PCIE 5.0 x16, while the other uses 4 4.0 x16. The power connections of the plate and CPU energy are also immediately visible, making it clear that it is not a plate with “hidden” connectors.
Memory slots are also two, compatible with DDR5. The plate uses a six -layer PCB and has power configuration at 8 + 2 + 1 phases, with dedicated Mosfets.

Despite being a Micro-ATX motherboard model, the ASUS B850m Ayw Gaming Wifi comes with a good number of connections. Speaking of the inside, we have a total of seven headers for USB connections, just one of them for type-C.
In the back are two USB ports of 10GBPs, two 5gbps and four 2.0, all type-A. Also appears the connection to Ethernet 2.5g and the BIOS Flashback button.
Being a plate that bears Wi-Fi even in the name, obviously it has connections to the antenna. Ayw Gaming Wifi is compatible with Wi-Fi 6 802.11AX.
