ASUS officially revealed its new Flagship motherboard for AMD processors: a ROG Crosshair X870E Extremefocused on enthusiastic public and professional overclochker. With an aggressive design, premium construction and price that goes beyond US $ 1400 (approximately R $ 8,200)the model delivers the most advanced on the AM5 platform.
The announcement was made during an event ROG held in China, where price, specifications and release forecast were also confirmed to April 2025.
Shaped E-ATXthe X870e Extreme comes with a predominantly black look and silver details. The model uses a clean layout, reinforced by a metal backplate e Angled Covers that integrate heat dissipping and aesthetic protections.
Rog identity appears in highlights as the Illuminated logo and the “Extreme” inscription in high relief.
In the heart of the plate is a Power System 20+2+2 phases (110a)one of the most powerful on the market. Fueled by Two 8 -pin EPS connectorsThis system ensures stable energy even in the most demanding overclocking scenarios.
Os VRMS are cooled by huge aluminum blocks interconnected by Heatpipesproviding thermal efficiency in prolonged sessions of heavy use.
Ultra -rarefront DDR5 support and M.2 tailored
The plate has Four slots ddr5 dimmwith support for up to 256 GB and speeds higher than 8200 MT/s – Ideal performance for AI workloads, rendering or advanced multitasking.
An exclusive differential is the ROG Q-DIMM.2an additional slot that allows you to connect a Adapting Plate (AIC) with two ssds M.2, adding to the three existing physical slotstotaling Five units m.2 available.
The main slot M.2 comes with a 3D vapor chamberthermal solution designed for SSDs Gen 5, which warm significantly more than the gen 4. This slot also has EZ DELEASE SYSTEMwhich facilitates the exchange of tools without tools.
The other slots are under a roof with extended dissipatorconnected to the chipset (SHP), reinforcing passive dissipation.

Integrated LCD, overclocking and advanced debug features
Another great highlight of the X870e Extreme is yours 5 ”LCD embedded on the rear panelwhich may display system data, animations or even customizations of the user. Ideal for offices with side window.
On the opposite side of the plate, the buttons are FlexKey, Power On/Off, DEBUG LEDplus connectors and switches for fine adjustments. You can configure overclock, reset CMOS profiles, change BIOS functions, among others.
