Asus launches its first AMD plate with hidden connectors, the B850-BTF WiFi W Gaming

Asus announced this week the TUF Gaming B850-BTF Wifi W, its first motherboard with socket AMD and hidden connectors. The BTF of the name of the plate is a acronym for Back to the Future, the name the manufacturer gave to its models with connectors on the back of the component, which make it easier to hide and manage the cables.

Of course, a compatible cabinet is indicated to better take advantage of the potential of motherboards with hidden connectors, but the format has been popularized in recent times. So much so that Asus finally brought a plate option to Ryzen processors users.

In addition to the hidden connectors, another highlight of TUF Gaming B850-BTF Wifi W is the presence of a GC-HPWR connector, capable of offering up to 600W directly to the GPU. It’s another solution to better manage cables, but can only be used with ASUS and Maxsun’s own video signs. It is noteworthy that other GPUs can still be used with the new motherboard, but with the traditional power connection by the cable from the source.

Finally, it is also interesting to note that this new Asus motherboard already comes with the updated version of its Q-Release system, fitting the GPU. The previous version was accused of causing scratches and wear on the video card’s PCIE fitting, so the manufacturer lightly changed its design to avoid damage to user components.

As you can see soon in the images, the new Asus tuf gaming plate follows four ddr5 slots for memory. It is compatible with a total of up to 256GB of capacity.

Going to the storage slots, we have a total of three M.2 connections, one of them compatible with PCIE 5.0 and the rest is at 4.0. There are four SATA doors with up to 6gbps of data transfer.
