Asus of China has revealed its new Rog Magic X notebook through a teaser on its social networks. The device uses a detachable keyboard and can be used as a traditional notebook or tablet, only by the touch screen. Right in its disclosure, the company says the device uses a Ryzen Ai Max+ as a processor, but did not say which one.
As we know, Ryzen Ai Max+ is the trade name of the long -awaited Strix Halo line of AMD, which draws attention to the size of its GPU. Asus does not say which specific component Rog Magic X will use, but among the processors revealed by AMD, only one takes the “+” in the name, the Ryzen Ai Max+ 395.
As shown in the table below, the component offers 16 nuclei, with 32 threads and 5,1GHz boost clock. It comes with integrated graphics with 40 nuclei and a 50 tops NPU. This processor also has a pro version, but this would hardly be chosen by Asus for Rog Magic X.
The table also shows us the release forecast between the first and second quarters of 2025 for processors, which includes notebooks using the components.
Asus will talk more about Rog Magic X on February 25
Unfortunately, Asus China’s teaser no longer brings information about its new Rog line notebook, but it is possible that the company offers more details about the product later this month. This is because the company marked an event for Rog Magic X on February 25.
Most likely, the company will specifically reveal the processor used by the device, and perhaps offer more information about it. With luck, even some performance tests may appear.
