A ASUS announced this Monday (03) the launch of the energy source ROG THOR 1600W Titanium III.
With a strong name, with the graces of a Norse god, the power supply promises to last up to GPUs NVIDIA RTX 4090.

The new power supply for beefy PCs ROG Thor 1600W Titanium III from ASUS has arrived to replace its predecessor and already removes support for 12VHWPR connectors, as this support is now native – well, at least that, right?!
Let’s talk about what’s new about it. As a power supply designed for high-end systems, it incorporates GaN MOSFET technology, which adds greater energy efficiency and has a simplified internal design, designed to operate smoother and cooler. Check out some of the features of the ROG Thor 1600W Titanium III below:
- ASUS-patented intelligent voltage stabilizer ensures stable power delivery to your GPU for smoother gameplay and better performance;
- Magnetic OLED display that shows real-time power consumption with convenient attachment for better visibility of the PC case;
- TURBO mode that maximizes power delivery for overclocking and demanding workloads;
- ROG heatsinks and an all-aluminum frame for superior cooling;
- Dual ball fan bearings can last up to twice as long as plain bearing designs;
- ROG Thor Titanium supports the ATX 3.1 standard, ensuring improved voltage and current regulation for the latest hardware;
- 80 PLUS Titanium Certification: ROG Thor Titanium uses low-ESR capacitors and premium components;
- 10 year warranty.
The ROG Thor 1600W Titanium III also has two 12V-2×6 power connectors for GPUs, creating the possibility of supporting up to two RTX 4090 graphics cards, and potentially a third, if the model uses eight-pin adapters.
Another highlight is its integrated OLED panel. In addition to displaying energy use in real time – making it very useful for those who like to monitor these parameters and carry out benchmarks – another practicality is that its magnetic attachment allows it to be positioned on either side of the source.
At the moment there are no more in-depth details about the operation of the ROG Thor 1600W Titanium III other than those shared by ASUS on its official website. Release date and prices have also not been confirmed.
