At the end of December last year, ASUS “missed the start” and ended up posting about the new version of its ROG NUC mini PC ahead of time. Now the company has made its official reveal during CES 2025, which includes details about its specifications and a launch window.
The ASUS ROG NUC for 2025 brings an Intel Core Ultra 9 Series 2 ARL-HX processor as its only option at launch. There is speculation that we may see other lines later, but at the moment the manufacturer is only releasing this one. For graphics, we have an RTX 5080 mobile.
The memory is 16GB DDR5, but the ROG NUC supports up to 96GB for those who want to upgrade. For storage, it comes with a 1TB SSD, but is compatible with up to 2TB.
Obviously, one of the main attractions of this type of product is its compact size. The ROG NUC measures 282.4 x 187.7 x 56.5mm, and weighs just 3.12kg. The cabinet has a total volume of 3L. Speaking of the case, in fact, ASUS promises that the new design allows for easier upgrades, because it allows you to disassemble the NUC without the need for tools.
2025 ASUS ROG NUC supports up to four screens
Despite its portable size, the new version of the ROG NUC offers a very complete variety of connections. ASUS highlights that its mini PC can be connected to up to four screens, as it offers two HDMI 2.1 ports and two DisplayPort 2.1.
In addition, the 2025 ROG NUC also has four USB-A 3.2 ports and one USB-C compatible with Thunderbolt 4 on the back. On the front there are two more USB-A and one USB-C connections, all in version 3.2.

Unfortunately, ASUS has not yet wanted to talk about prices for the new version of its ROG NUC, saying only that it will arrive in the first quarter of 2025. Based on the specifications and format, we can expect high prices, just like the notebooks with RTX 5080 that have appeared.
