ASUS PRO WS is the current line of high performance sources for professional use of the company. The products drew attention when they were revealed in May, bringing capabilities of up to 3,000W, and allowing you to connect four RTX 5090 at the same time. Now the manufacturer releases more details of her PSUs.
One of the most interesting news of the new sources is that Asus has decided to paint its 16 -pin 12VHPWR connectors, just as MSI did in its products. To offer a different look, the company opted for purple instead of the yellow used by the competitor.
The logic, however, is the same. While many users accuse 12VHPWR design from being flawed and prone to overheating, many manufacturers maintain the position that problems are caused by incorrect fitting of the connection. The idea of painting the connector is to make it easier to see when it is fully inserted or not.
Asus promises up to 10ºC less in the operation of its connectors
Another aspect that draws a lot of attention and had not yet been released to Asus Pro WS is the promise of less heating in energy connectors.
The company’s new professional sources have gold coating on copper pins, and Asus says this provides up to 10ºC colder temperatures during use, when compared to a “normal” 12V-2 × 6 connector.
Unfortunately, the information is not accompanied by details, so we do not know what situation of use the company has managed to get such a significant drop in the temperature of its connector.

Although the company talks about its new PSUs since last month, we have not yet been launching window for the products. Thus, the suggested price of each model was also not informed. For now, Asus only points out that it will offer 10 years warranty on the Pro WS line.
