ASRock graphics card with 12GB Intel Arc B580 GPU appears in photos

The FunkyIT website presented the ASRock Arc B580 Steel Legend 12 GB “Battlemage” graphics card, violating the embargo of the company that sent the card to the presenter. As a result, the video has already been taken down, but the information has been collected.

The card is considerably large, with Intel positioning the B580 as a mid-high performance GPU, as per the naming convention of the previous generation “Alchemist” and the A580.

For cooling, the ASRock Steel Legend features a large aluminum cooler with a double fin stack and trio of fans, as well as a combination shroud and two-tone metallic backplate. The PCB below is half the length of the board, allowing airflow to exit through large cutouts in the backplate.

Technical details and features

The card comes with 8-pin PCIe connectors, with a delivery capacity of up to 375 W. Previous leaks suggest that the ASRock B580 Steel Legend features RGB lighting in the form of a large Steel Legend ornament on the top of the card, in addition to the three fans with RGB LED lighting.

The FunkyIT website also showed the product box. There are no changes to the main Intel Arc brand, but there is emphasis on the Intel XeSS technology logo, which mentions “AI Upscaling”.

To top it off, the XMX cores, which are the main AI acceleration hardware in discrete Arc GPUs, have their own separate branding on the box. Intel is not just targeting gamers, but also creators and AI acceleration markets. On the box, you can read “Play, Create, Generate”, in a free translation, “play, create and manage”.
