ASRock didn’t want to wait for the official reveal of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D to confirm that the processor exists. The motherboard manufacturer decided to confirm that its AM5 models will have full support for the component when it makes its debut on November 7th. Furthermore, the company also makes it clear that the line will feature several models.
With the number of leaks and rumors, it comes as no surprise that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D marks the debut of CPUs with 3D V-Cache in the new Ryzen generation. However, it is worth remembering that AMD has not yet officially announced the name or which models we will see first. The owner of the Zen 5 only confirmed that a new Ryzen X3D will arrive in early November.
ASRock mentions that its entire line of AM5 motherboards will be compatible with the new processor. “The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the first model launched in the 9000X3D series of processors”, says the manufacturer, in its release. “ASRock AM5 motherboards will continue to receive updates to ensure direct compatibility with the upcoming Ryzen 9000 X3D processors, delivering impressive performance for gaming enthusiasts.”

In its announcement of support for AMD’s new processor, ASRock explains that its AM5 boards from the 600 and 800 series are already ready to receive the CPU. In other words, the user does not need to update the BIOS to take advantage of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
In fact, as shown in the image above, the new component is already listed among those compatible with version 3.04 of the BIOS on ASRock boards. This version incorporates the AGESA 1.2.0.2A firmware.
Finally, as the company says, new updates will be made available before the launch of future models of the Ryzen 9000 X3D series, based on Zen 5 with 3D V-Cache.
