The famous AIDA64 diagnostic software has received a beta update that brings an especially interesting change: Intel BMG-G31 support. Those who follow the hardware news should know very well that this is the expected GPU to equip an alleged ARC B770.
The leaks on a possible Intel Arc B770 have become practically daily, so at these times a launch for the plate has been considered a matter of “when”, not “if”. AIDA64 Extreme Version 7.99.7817 Beta helps corroborate this possibility.
According to the update changelog, the new version of the diagnostic application adds “GPU information for Intel Battlemage (BMG-G31)”, and we have no details besides. But it is another item for the list that Intel moves for a release.

In recent days we have had a driver table update also adding support to the supposed ARC B770 GPU, and the component also appeared in PCI-SIG, including revealing compatibility with PCIE 5.0 x16. This once again indicates a more advanced video card, as the B580 and B570 connect with PCIE 4.0.
UPDATE DO AIDA64 also mentions PCIE 7.0
The new version of AIDA64 does not only add support to BMG-G31. In fact, Changelog is even extensive. Below, some more highlights, including PCIE 7.0 support:
- Support to PCI 7.0 controllers and devices
- Support for Asus Cyber Canyon Nuc 15 Pro sensors
- GPU information for Radeon Pro W7400 and Radeon RX 7400 (Navi 33)
- Information for specific sensors from ASUS TUF Gaming B850m-Plus
- Information for specific MSI MS-7E93 sensors

PCI-SIG has just published the final specifications for PCI 7.0, so AIDA64 developers are already incorporated into the software. However, we are obviously far away from seeing the interface appears in components for the PC. Even PCIE 6.0 is a little far.
Arc B770 arrives only at the end of the year?
There are few leaks on the BMG-G31 GPU and, as a result, evidence for a possible ARC B770, but we only had a recent rumor pointing a possible launch window. Shortly after Computex, the information appeared that the plate would be launched at the end of the year.

It is a curious window, since a highlight for Battlemage’s debut was the arrival of the Arc B580 and B770 long before similar competitors by Nvidia and AMD. If Intel follows with the plan to launch the sign so late, one will question the level of interest it will be able to achieve for the new GPU – unless it has a really attractive price.
