A Intel officially presented its new video cards in the line Arc Battlemage. The models Arc B580 e Arc B570 are built with the graphics chip BGM-G21promising to compete with GeForce RTX 4060 e Radeon RX 7600 in terms of performance and cost-benefit.
Technical Specifications
Intel Arc B580
- Xe2 Cores: 20;
- Memory: 12 GB GDDR6;
- Bus: 192 bits;
- GPU frequency: 2.670 MHz;
- Bandwidth: 456 GB/s;
- TDP: 190 W.
Intel Arc B570
- Xe2 Cores: 18
- Memory: 10 GB GDDR6
- Bus: 160 bits
- GPU Frequency: 2.500 MHz
- Bandwidth: 380 GB/s
- TDP: 150 W
Both models use the PCIe 4.0 x8 interface and an 8-pin connector for additional power, standing out for an approach focused on energy efficiency and competitive cost.
Benchmark: Intel promises advantage over the competition
According to Intel, the Arc B580 shows an improvement of up to 24% em FPS compared to the Arc A750its predecessor. Internal tests carried out with 27 games in 1440p Ultra showed variations between similar results and increases of up to 78% in frames per second, depending on the title.
The company also mentions that the B580 outperforms GeForce RTX 4060 with up to 10% more FPSwhile offering a price-performance ratio 32% better in rasterized games e 25% superior em Ray Tracing. Against the RX 7600, Intel points to an equally advantageous price-performance ratio.
However, it is worth considering that this data is Intel’s own official benchmarks, it is important to await independent analysis.
XeSS 2 with frame generation and low latency
Along with the launch of Battlemage GPUs, Intel brought new features to its super-resolution technology, the XeSS 2. The feature now supports Frame Generation e Low Latencyresources already known from competitors such as DLSS FG from NVIDIA and FSR FG and AMD.
A Frame Generation uses neural networks to create artificial frames between those already rendered, increasing the frame rate. Unlike NVIDIA, which uses dedicated hardware in Tensor cores, Intel performs the Optical Flow and motion analysis through neural networks, maintaining the exclusivity of XeSS 2 for its GPUs.
Additionally, XeSS 2 now supports DirectX 11, DirectX 12 e Vulkanexpanding your reach to a wider variety of games.
Price and availability
The official start of sales of the Intel Arc B580 graphics card is scheduled for December 13th, the recommended price starts at US$249. The Arc B570 model will be launched on January 16th, starting at US$219.
