This Monday, September 9th, the Apple revealed the new Apple Watch Series 10. This launch is quite significant, marking a decade since the company’s first smartwatch was introduced to the market.

The refined design of the new model stands out for being even more elegant: it features a thinner case and a larger screen, features that even surpass the prestigious Ultra model. In terms of price in the United States, the Apple Watch Series 10 is offered starting at US$ 399 – which converts to approximately R$ 2,230, taking into account the current exchange rate.

Changes in design and size

The Apple Watch Series 10 has undergone the most significant aesthetic changes Apple has seen in years. Its body is now just 9.7mm thick, a 10% reduction compared to the previous Series 9. Additionally, customers now have the option to choose a titanium version, reinforcing Apple’s commitment to diversity of choice and premium materials.

As for the display, the new device’s screen has seen a considerable increase in size: the smaller model has gone from 41mm to an impressive 45mm, while the larger one has increased from 45mm to a generous 49mm. The company has also increased the quality of the OLED technology used, optimizing visibility from different angles. This means that no matter the situation – checking the time, viewing exercise data or reading notifications – the visual experience promises to be exceptional.

The speaker, although reduced in size, has not lost any sound quality, as Apple guarantees. It maintains its ability to reproduce music and video audio with high fidelity. And what’s more: the battery can now be charged much faster, reaching up to 80% charge in just 30 minutes.

More features for health monitoring

When it comes to health, the Apple Watch Series 10 has raised the bar by being able to detect signs of sleep apnea through continuous monitoring for a period of 30 days. It is important to note that Apple is keen to emphasize that the detection made by the watch only indicates “possible apnea” and is not intended to replace detailed and specific medical evaluations.

For water sports enthusiasts, here’s some great news: the watch has been certified for high-speed underwater activities, withstanding up to 20 meters of water depth. Another new feature is the inclusion of the Depth app, which was previously exclusive to the Ultra series. In addition, features related to tides and currents have been integrated, which are extremely valuable for those who practice maritime activities.

Finally, it was notable that a new Ultra model was not shown during the presentation. Contrary to expectations, Apple chose to present only one new color option, black, for the already known Ultra 2, leaving fans curious about future developments in this product line.
