AOSTAR BET IN AMD STRIX HALO AND DIFFERENTIAL DESIGN FOR YOUR NEW MINI PC

Aoostar revealed this weekend another mini PC for its collection, betting on the AMD Strix Halo line for your processor. The new Nex395 will come equipped with an AI Max+ 395 Ryzen, current AMD line option in the mini PCs and notebooks segment. In addition to advanced hardware, the company wants to draw attention to the product with a bolder design and different from the classic “square”.

The Nex395 is rectangular and greatly resembles the look of an EGPU, including models of the ostar itself. Ironically, however, it seems that this mini PC is not properly prepared to take advantage of external video cards, as it does not offer Occulink connection. Not surprisingly, since Ryzen Ai Max+ 395 comes equipped with a Radeon 8060s, well competent in graphics.

“The Nex395 is a processor-driven Line PC AI Max+ 395. This high-end chip delivers strong performance with a 16-core and 32 threads architecture, and up to 5,1GHz Boost Clock,” says Aoostar’s post. “It has 80MB of cache and 40 Compute Units RDNA 3.5.”

Unfortunately the company does not offer many technical details of its new mini PC, which is still in the teasers phase. However, the disclosure already wants to highlight its capabilities for AI, highlighting it holds 128GB of LPDDR5X memory. Remember that AI models are very demanding of memory.

Aoostar has not confirmed other details of the Nex395, but you can see in the disclosure image that it will have at least two Ethernet ports, a USB-C connection and four USB-A. There are also an HDMI output and a displayport.

As might be expected, the suggested price of the mini PC has not yet been revealed. But compared to other products equipped with Strix Halo, don’t expect something below $ 1,500.
