AOC launches new AGON esports monitors with up to 540Hz frequency

AOC has introduced two new monitors to its AGON line of products aimed at gamers. The main highlight of the products is their frequency, with the AG256FS reaching 390Hz (overclocked) and the AG246FK reaching an impressive 540Hz.

Below are the highlights of the AGON PRO AG256FS:

• Tela: 24,5” WLED FullHD (1920 x 1080p) – Painel Fast IPS
• Frequency and response: up to 390Hz (360Hz overclocked) | 1ms GtG and 0.3ms MPRT
• Colors and contrast: 16.7 million colors | 1000:1 contrast | 400cd/m² brightness
• DisplayHDR 400, Adaptive Sync e Flicker Free
• Connections: 2x HDMI 2.0 | 1x DisplayPort 1.4 | USB Hub | Audio P2 output

Both monitors feature a motion blur reduction mode and a reduction in the emission of harmful blue light. AOC also highlights three different pre-calibrated modes aimed at FPS games. According to the manufacturer, they offer different saturation and pixel overdrive settings, for quickly changing visual options.

In terms of chassis design, the products are virtually identical. In fact, both offer customizable RGB lighting in a detail on the back of the monitors.

New AOC AGON monitors: price and availability

AOC’s two new esports-focused monitors will arrive in mid-August this year. The manufacturer wants $498 for the AG256FS and $785 for the AG246FK. That’s R$2,700 and R$4,260, respectively, at the current dollar exchange rate.
