AMD is launching new X870 and X870E motherboards on the market, ready to support Ryzen 9000 processors with Zen5 architecture. It is worth noting that both are “premium” versions, with the mainstream B850 and B840 models still without a release date defined by the manufacturer.
The first store to make AMD X870 and X870E motherboards available was Newegg, bringing versions produced by MSI, ASRock, ASUS and Gigabyte. One of the cheapest offers in the line is from ASRock, with the X870 Pro RS that can be sold for $199.99 – and a $10 discount coupon can be used, reducing the value to $189.99 upon purchase.

Launch of AMD X870 motherboards
It is important that there are many models that do not yet have a ready version for AMD X870 motherboards – with more versions coming in future announcements from manufacturers that are working with AM5 models.
It is worth noting that there are no Mini-ITX or Micro-ATX designs in this release – which may take a while to reach the market – as well as the well-known overclocking formats (OCF/APEX and others).
If you’re still unsure whether to buy AMD Ryzen 9000 processors and X870 motherboards, you can wait another ten days for Intel to officially release details about its Core Ultra Series 2 “Arrow Lake” CPUs and Z890 motherboards ( LGA-1851) – for comparative purposes and to have a better idea of how much you will spend on this new generation.
