AMD may have never revealed when its Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs would launch, but there were high expectations that they would arrive alongside “800” motherboards in October. However, the manufacturer may need more time to bring the processors with 3D V-Cache and launch the hardware in the line only at CES 2025.
Leaks suggest that the corporation has shared the new launch estimate with motherboard manufacturers – stating that we will only see them during one of the biggest technology events, which will take place in January.
This means that gamers and professionals who were waiting for the AMD Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs and to see their specifications will have to wait a little longer. This will also give the public more time to adopt the recently launched Ryzen 9000 processors, which have already been criticized for not bringing a big leap in performance.
Things have started to change with ASUS’ recent announcements of its X870 and X870E boards. On its official website, there were signs that we were close to the announcement and perhaps the launch of the AMD 9000X3D CPUs.
Still, the manufacturer is working on two new CPUs with 3D V-Cache for the AM4 and AM5 platforms. One of the processors is the Ryzen 5 5500X3D, expected to hit the market soon, and the other is the Ryzen 5 7600X3D – scheduled to be launched on the AM5 platform in September.

With the AMD Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs expected to be launched at CES 2025, this puts even more pressure on the manufacturer’s presentation at the event.
However, it would make sense to showcase its new line of “Zen5” processors alongside its upcoming gaming GPUs – focusing on announcements related to this division and showing that even though it works with artificial intelligence and servers, it will not leave its audience aside during this initiative.
Whether it’s shown at CES 2025 or earlier, the public can expect AMD Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs to feature full overclocking support, increased LLC counts, and better efficiency than what’s seen in recent Zen5 chips.
