The latest leaks about AMD’s popular 3D V-Cache processors indicate that the company is preparing two new variants of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, with an announcement scheduled for January. This is a strong indication of the CPU’s success, and now we have numbers to help back up the evidence.

The TechEpiphany account is known for sharing monthly US Amazon sales figures. As one of the largest retailers in the world, its data is interesting for evaluating market trends and the success of current products.

Current data indicates that sales of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and 7800X3D alone are enough to surpass all sales of Intel CPUs during the month of October on Amazon in the US.

According to the shared table, both the latest Ryzen 7 9800X3D and its previous version based on Zen 4 totaled approximately 8,000 units sold each – for a total of 16,000 processors. The entire Intel line, meanwhile, totaled 10,200 units distributed through the famous online store.

The best-selling Intel processor in the period was the Core i9-14900K, with approximately 1,000 units. The number is the same as estimated for five other Ryzen models, and they appear behind 10 AMD processors that sold 2,000 units or more.

AMD dominates more than 80% of the market in units and income

It is important to remember that the numbers cited here apply specifically to Amazon in the US, which is a considerable market. In October 2025, AMD sold a total of approximately 52,800 processors, compared to Intel’s 10,200. In other words, in terms of volume of units sold, AMD had a share of 83.80%, leaving 16.20% for Intel CPUs.

This large volume is reflected in income for the month as well, even though Ryzen processors are sold, on average, cheaper than Core processors. According to TechEpiphanyYT, the average price of AMD processors is US$272.05, while Intel is US$308.62.

Out of curiosity, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is selling for R$2,690 on Amazon Brasileira, and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D for R$2,694. The Core i9-14900K appears for R$3,482.
