AMD releases FSR Redstone with new driver Radeon Software Adrenalin 25.12.1

AMD announced in November that its new FSR Redstone would be fully launched on December 10th. Fulfilling its roadmap, the company today released a new driver update that brings the new generation of FSR to its Radeon RX 9000 graphics cards.

Radeon Software Adrenalin reaches version 25.12.1, bringing with it “FSR Redstone support”. The company doesn’t go into detail about what we can expect from the first day of full support for the technology, but we know from previous disclosures that the FSR features available will vary depending on each game.

FSR Redstone focuses on four technologies for its debut. Ray Regeneration helps avoid artifacts and noise in low-sampling renders and Radiance Caching promises to improve ray tracing without sacrificing performance. Then we have Super Resolution and Frame Generation that FSR already offers, but they will have versions improved by Machine Learning in Redstone.

It is worth remembering that FSR Redstone is compatible only with AMD Radeon RX 9000 cards at its launch.

Driver update includes support for new Radeon AI PRO

The new version of the AMD driver also confirms two new Radeon cards for professional use that appeared on the company’s official website, but have not yet had an announcement per se.

The Radeon AI PRO 9600D and Radeon AI PRO R9700S are supported with Radeon Software Adrenalin 25.12.1, confirming the new models.

Among the bug fixes, AMD mentions Anti-Lag 2, which may not have appeared for Counter-Strike 2, but must now have been resolved.
