The Radeon RX 9070 XT sold 10 times more than “previous generations” in its first week available, according to Lisa Su, CEO of AMD itself. The statement was made in a recent interview with Tony Yu, Asus manager in China and a known figure among hardware enthusiasts.
The interview did not speak exclusively about RDNA 4 -based video cards, but about several of AMD’s latest products. Thus, we don’t have much detail in Lisa Su’s statements about Radeon RX 9070 XT, but this estimate caught the eye.
“Obviously, everyone would like a very high-end GPU, but there are not so many people who can buy. The 9070 XT has been a fantastic success,” said the executive. “By the way, it’s the number in sales among all generations AMD Radeon for first week sales from far, 10 times more than previous generations, and we like to see people happy. People are happy with the 9070 XT.”
Unfortunately, AMD CEO does not talk about numbers.
