AMD has set up a considerable booth in this edition of Gamescom Latam to attract all types of audiences. The company offers visitors the opportunity to test PCs equipped with their most advanced gamer products at the moment, such as Radeon RX 9070 XT and Ryzen 9 9950x3D.
However, it is not just desktop computers that stand out in AMD space for the event. The company also took notebooks and even portable such as the Rog Ally of Asus and Legion of Lenovo. It is all part of the company’s position to achieve the largest possible variety of audience, meeting different needs.
Daniela Nunes, Marketing Manager for AMD, explains that the company has a “360º” strategy. That is, the idea is to focus on different segments without a specific cut of potential consumers.
Ryzen is the flagship for AMD
Gamescom Latam 2025 happens at an interesting moment when we are a few months after the launch of Radeon RX 9070 and supposedly a month before the arrival of the Radeon RX 9060.
Nunes emphasizes that AMD maintains a prospect of always offering a possible solution to each type of customer, and that there is no greater prominent GPU than another in its strategy. Even for the Brazilian public, with lower purchasing value, the company is not especially more optimistic with the arrival of RX 9060.
However, there is no caveats in admitting that Ryzen has been a “flagship” for the company in the gaming segment. The success that AMD has found in the CPUS segment is far more significant than its GPUS performance, especially with the arrival of X3D versions of its processors.
Asked about specific strategies for Brazil, Nunes emphasizes AMD’s work with their partner companies – whether the AIBs that do custom versions of their GPUs, to direct sales stores to consumers.
No wonder, the company has gathered three of the largest PC parts retailers on its booth, bringing representatives of Kabum, Pichau and Gigabyte in the same space.
