AMD prepares Apus Sound Wave based on Architura Arm

Although traditionally an X86 format adept, AMD is also planning to explore the possibilities offered by Arm architecture. The company is developing a new Apus platform known as “Sound Wave”which can debut on the laptop line Surface as early as 2026.

The information starts from the famous Leaker Kepler_L2, which became famous for disclosing in advance several information that proved true. With the new hardware, the company will have a solution capable of rivaling similar hardware being prepared by Nvidia.

The Sound Wave line can be marked by the use of an IGPU RDNA 3.5 and by Manufacturing using the 3 nanome process offered by TSMC castings. The goal would be to explore the PC market more AI, as well as the new features that Microsoft offers to those who use Windows on ARM platforms.

Although AMD focused on X86 architecture in recent years, she even prepared an ambitious plan involving the ARM in 2014.
