AMD may not launch completely new architectures aimed at notebooks and portable devices in 2026, according to unofficial information. The famous “leaker” Golden Pig Upgrade only reveals a refresh of Strix Point and Krackan Point in two years.

The leak comes from the same video that Golden Pig used to share news about Strix Halo. In one of the tables shown in the content, we can see an unofficial AMD roadmap, as shown in the image below:

According to the graph created by the “leaker”, in 2025 we will see the arrival of the Krackan Point, something that has appeared in other rumors for some time. A refresh of Hawk Point should also appear next year, under the name Ryzen 200, but without updating the products’ NPU XDNA. Therefore, they do not appear as Copilot+ PCs in the table.

Going into 2026 we only have STX Refresh and KRK Refresh, referring to Strix Point and Krackan Point, respectively. Unfortunately, we don’t have any details about the product specs, so it’s difficult to know AMD’s plans for them.

It is also worth noting that the appearance of just these two products does not guarantee that AMD will not prepare others for the year. Golden Pig may have limited itself to just the information it knew, with more unknown products yet to come. In any case, as always with rumors, it is always good to remain a little skeptical. Even in the case of this “leaker”, who has a good record of success.

According to rumors, AMD prepares Fire Range for 2025 and 2026

Still according to the Golden Pig video, AMD is preparing the successors to the Dragon Range line to begin arriving next year. The Fire Range R9 series is expected to be launched between 2025 and 2026, so it may present new products during these two years.

These are processors aimed at high-performance notebooks, with higher TDPs. As the image shows, the new series should maintain the RDNA 2 architecture for GPUs, but move to Zen 5 for CPUs. Furthermore, it also appears that we will have X3D products in the family – that is, incorporating the famous 3D V-Cache.

More about AMD:

Finally, the image also shows a slight gain in memory bandwidth compared to Dragon Range, going from DDR5-5200 to DDR5-5600.
