AMD would have increased the price of the Radeon RX 9000 that it sends to its AIB partners. The adjustment was not drastic, say sources close to the matter, but a new increase is already scheduled for January, according to information from Tom’s Hardware.
The website reports that the increase in value was made based on the kits that AMD sends to its partners to create the video cards that we see on the shelves. Therefore, it may take some time for us to see the impact in practice, as there are still many products in stock and we are at a time of year when it is common to find discounts and promotions.
Almost all Radeon RX 9000 models have received a $20 increase based on MSRP. Below is the list of changes:
- Radeon RX 9070 XT: from US$599 to US$ 619 (R$ 3.303,60)
- Radeon RX 9070: from US$549 to US$ 569 (R$ 3.036,75)
- Radeon RX 9060 XT (16GB): de US$ 349 para US$ 369 (R$ 1.969,35)
- Radeon RX 9060 XT (8GB): from US$299 to US$ 309 (R$ 1.649,13)
Increase in Radeon RX 9000 may have been due to memories
An official announcement on this type of change is rarely made, so the information comes from website sources involved in the distribution of the Radeon RX 9000. However, as AMD is not commenting on the matter, we do not have the company’s justification for the increase.
However, due to the moment we are experiencing in the hardware market, it is obviously speculated that the price increase was due to the increasingly high costs of memories.
