AMD B850 MINE ITX Plate from Maxsun draws attention with PCIE connection on both sides

Maxsun prepares a new MINI ITX motherboard with AMD B850 chipset that has drawn attention for its unique design. In your small PCB, we can only see a PCIE X4 connection at first, but this is because the manufacturer has placed the full PCIE 5.0 x16 slot on the back of the board.

Accompanying the slot usually used for GPUs, we also have two M.2 format SSD connections also appearing on the back of Maxsun Terminator B850bkb Wifi. But the rest of the slots remain in front.

At first, the change of position of the traditional PCIE 5.0 x16 slot makes us think of other recent motherboard models that have adopted the design of hidden connectors. To help cable management and result in a cleaner build, some plates have placed in the back of their power and CPU connection, and part of their headers in several cases. But that’s not what Maxsun’s new model does.

In fact, looking at the board from the front, you can’t even imagine that it has the slots on the back. They seem to have been added as an extra option, not as an “cleaning” solution of the look.

The most interesting part here is that we are talking about a mini ITX board, a version that often appears on builds with creative solutions to offer a compact PC. Thus, it is very likely that Maxsun engineers have in mind specific uses for Terminator B850BKB WiFi.
