AMD has finally officially confirmed when its next event will take place. Advanced AI 2024 will be unveiled on October 10, and the brand has already confirmed that we will see the next generation of its Epyc and Instinct products.
In other words, in a few weeks we will have the official display of 5th generation Epyc processors for servers, also known as Turin. They will be accompanied by the MI325X accelerator card, from the Instinct line. As has become the rule in the industry, everything will have an emphasis on AI, as highlighted by the name of the event.
“AMD executives and AI ecosystem partners, customers and developers, will join CEO Lisa SU to discuss how AMD products and software are reshaping the AI and high-performance computing landscape,” the company’s official statement reads.
The event will be broadcast live on October 10th at 1pm (Brasília time). You can watch the news on the company’s official YouTube channel. As VideoCardz rightly notes, this could be one of the manufacturer’s most important presentations of the year, since its other products such as Strix Halo, Kraken Point and Radeon 8000 are now scheduled for 2025.
AMD doesn’t confirm Ryzen AI 300 Pro at event
One thing that was notable was the absence from the company’s Advanced AI 2024 announcement. The company doesn’t mention the Pro version of its Zen 5-based Ryzen AI 300 series of processors. However, they are expected to make an appearance at the presentation as well.
In August, we had a leak that AMD would show its new Epyc and Instinct on October 10. However, the rumor put Ryzen AI 300 Pro on the list.
