AMD released its latest driver update this week, which takes Radeon Software Adrenalin to version 25.10.2 WHQL. In addition to bringing optimizations for new games, the update stands out especially for the “initial introduction” of Work Graphs support on Radeon RX 9000 GPUs.
Starting with the games, we have support for Battlefield 6 in DirectX 12, which was already added in the last version of the driver, but which now has the stability of a WHQL version. It comes with support for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, also in DX12.

The update also brings expanded compatibility with Vulkan, with an added list of extensions that can be seen in the driver changelog on its official page.

Work Graphs starts coming to AMD GPUs
As mentioned, the update brings an “initial introduction” of Work Graphs support on current generation AMD graphics cards. Unfortunately, the company does not say in detail what this support would be or whether any game will be able to take advantage of the new feature.
Work Graphs is a DirectX 12 technology that allows a GPU to establish and execute instructions for itself, relieving and avoiding CPU bottlenecks. Based on technology, for example, AMD has already demonstrated a foliage rendering technique that reduces graphics card VRAM usage by more than 660,000 times, to just 52KB.
Driver brings fixes for The Last of Us 2 and FBC: Firebreak
The current update for the AMD driver also comes with a considerable list of fixes. Among them, intermittent crashes were resolved in The Last of Us 2 running on Radeon RX 7000 cards and in FBC: Firebreak running on Ryzen integrated graphics – which includes the AI 300 series.
