Alleged photos of the new Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con appear online; look

New images that supposedly show the design of the Joy-Con do Nintendo Switch 2 appeared on forums and social networks this week. The photos, initially shared on Reddit by a user identified as “SwordfishAgile3472”, show details of the controller, including the sides and back.

The Joy-Con appear to adopt a simplified color scheme, predominantly black with light blue details on the magnetic track, a new feature that should replace the current docking system on the console. Additionally, there is an additional button on the back, which may be related to the docking mechanism.

Additionally, notable changes include larger SL and SR buttons and a possible new integrated optical sensor.

Although it is not possible to confirm the authenticity of the images, the level of detail, including the presence of visible serial numbers, suggests that the leak may have come from a factory involved in the production of the new console.

The photos show a Joy Con which is very similar to the great rain of rumors and potential leaks that emerged from descriptions of the console and even very detailed 3D models of it.

Still, even though we still can’t be 100% sure, a photo like this potentially showing the device as it will arrive on the shelves is something that draws a lot of attention.

Something that helps support this leak as real is that the serial number registered has even been identified by users on forums such as Famiboards, which even raises concerns about the legal implications for the person responsible for the leak.

It is also worth noting that users also verified that this is not just a random serial number, since, by changing even one character, Nintendo’s warranty does not recognize the control in its database.

Recently, images of the console’s supposed internal hardware, including its motherboard, were analyzed, indicating the use of the T239 chip based on Samsung’s 5nm technology.

With this large amount of leaks and corroborating rumors piling up, perhaps we can expect an announcement very soon. Until then, information about the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con should be treated as rumors, as technical and visual details may still change before the final release.
