Alleged Intel document mentions XE4, the Druid architecture for GPUS

Intel has not made great fuss on its developments in the GPUS area, but a new leak indicates that the company continues to dedicate itself in the area. While we await the launch of the XE3 generation equipping Panther Lake processors, the company is already mentioned for the next, XE4, appearing in a document in the GIT repository.

The information is not official, so it must be seen with some skepticism, as always. The post was shared by one of the many “leaks” of social networks, as we can see below.

Although it is not official information, the document has some credibility because it does not bring anything very unexpected. In fact, we can see what seems like an internal communication of the company about how the nomenclature of its GPUS architectures from the XE appears.

Intel graphs were called Genxx until the arrival of the XE. Thus, the first XE is also known as Gen12, which makes XE3 a gen14 and XE4 to Gen15. Also known as Druid, XE4 technology is the last mentioned in the document. Remember that Intel mentioned earlier that it already works in technology.

What to expect from Intel Xe4 Druid?

We still don’t have details about the future generation of Intel Xe4 graphics, but it’s no less. The architecture is somewhat distant from reaching the company’s products.

At the moment, the company finished the design of the XE3 charts, and its manufacture is being validated. They will appear as IGPU in Panther Lake processors and we have not even confirmed to see dedicated video cards using these components, also known as heavenly.
