Acer launches new Radeon RX 9070 on its Predator Bifrost line

Acer presented this week its new RAdeon RX 9070 Predator Bifrost. The line already had a GPU XT model, and now receives the slightly more affordable variant, with smaller clock and TGP, but still bringing OC in relation to the AMD reference.

GPUS RDNA Generation made its debut in March this year with the RX 9070 XT and the RX 9070. Since then, we have seen more XT models being announced by AMD partners, so it draws attention when a Radeon RX 9070 model (without XT) appears.

The new RX 9070 Predator Bifrost is almost identical to the XT model in terms of design. The plate keeps the profile of 2.5 slot, with its three fans and carcass in black and silver. The most visible difference is in the power connectors, as the RX 9070 XT uses three eight -pin connections and the RX 9070 XT Radeon “only” two.

Acer Radeon RX 9070 Predator Bifrost brings 7% overclock

The new Acer RDNA 4 -based GPU promises up to 2,700mHz of Boost Clock, which represents a gain of about 7.1% compared to the standard 2,520 boost clock found on the reference RX 9070. This results in an increase in TGP as well, which goes from 220W to 245W.

These are more shy numbers, obviously, than Radeon RX 9070 XT Predator Bifrost. This most advanced model reaches 3,100mHz with 310W. However, as mentioned earlier, it already requires three eight -pin connectors for power.

Acer already offers nitro model from RX 9070

Offering your video cards to both mounted and loose systems, Acer has a varied portfolio of RDNA 4 models. While the RX 9070 Radeon receive their Bifrost predator variant only now, AIB offers the plate in its nitro line since release, in or without OC versions.
