NVIDIA confirms it will not show RTX 50 SUPER series at CES 2026

NVIDIA published a call on its social networks reminding everyone that in a few hours it will hold its keynote for CES 2026. The company promises to showcase new games, applications and products from partners and creators. But what draws attention in the post is that the company already warns that it will not show any new GPU.

The warning visibly refers to the RTX 50 SUPER, which has appeared in rumors and leaks for some time. For many months it was believed that new versions of NVIDIA graphics cards for home use would be presented at CES 2026, and now the company is confirming that this will not be the case.

Anyone who wants to check out the presentation live, with or without GPUs, will have to stay up at dawn. NVIDIA’s broadcast starts at 2 am between today and tomorrow, and will be broadcast on the company’s YouTube and Twitch accounts.

When can we expect the RTX 50 SUPER?

While we have confirmation that the RTX 50 SUPER will not be shown now, the question remains whether this was a postponement or whether the models will be canceled altogether.

In November, rumors appeared that NVIDIA might choose not to create a SUPER variant for its video cards of this generation. It’s somewhat plausible, since the memory shortage has only gotten worse since then, and we don’t expect it to improve throughout 2026.

Taking into account that the main difference of the RTX 50 SUPER would be more GDDR7 capacity, it is very difficult for the cards to become a reality with affordable prices for consumers.

Now we even have rumors that NVIDIA is planning to bring the RTX 3060 back. If true, the company’s chances of investing in new SUPER models decrease. We will have to wait and see how the company intends to deal with the current situation in the memory market, in which it had a large role in creating.
