The Ryzen 7 9850X3D has already appeared in so many leaks that there will be little information left for AMD to reveal when it officially shows the processor at CES 2026. Now the last – and possibly most important – news that we would like to know about the processor has started to appear: its price.
Like all rumors and leaks, the information here should be treated with some skepticism until we have official confirmation from AMD. The well-known “leaker” @momomo_us is the one who disseminates the information, through screenshots he obtained from the processor’s registration in stores.
The 9850X3D appears in the capture costing US$553.09, the equivalent of R$3,044.82. The value is US$74 above the suggested price for the 9800X3D at its launch, which was US$479 (R$2,637).
Price increases more than the clock for the Ryzen 7 9850X3D
Putting the numbers into proportion, we would then have a 15% increase in the price of the Ryzen 7 9850X3D in exchange for a gain of just 400MHz in clock speed, when comparing the model with the standard 9800X3D.
The information we have so far is that the processors are basically the same component, with 8 Zen 5 cores and 96MB of L3 cache, but the 9850X3D will reach a boost clock of 5.6GHz, while the 9800X3D stops at 5.2GHz.
We already had a leak on PassMark that showed this clock gain translating into a 5% performance gain, well below the 15% we see in the price being reported.

This type of registration often appears as a “placeholder”, in which the store simply places any number to register new products in preparation for their launch. But there are also cases where the correct price is already registered at the beginning.
In any case, there are just a few weeks left until CES 2026, when we should finally have the reveal of not only the Ryzen 7 9850X3D but also the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, which has not appeared in so many leaks.
