Gigabyte this week announced the availability of the AORUS Prime 5, its newest full-featured gaming PC. The company has diversified its portfolio, including investing in systems aimed at AI processing, but this time’s launch is aimed at those who use the machine to play.
On the official website, the AORUS Prime 5 appears with a Ryzen 7 9700X, but Gigabyte informs that it offers the computer with up to the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The graphics card can be up to an RTX 5080 and we have no different memory options: the complete PC comes with 32GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 2TB AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD.
It is also worth mentioning that the motherboard is a B850 Gaming WIFI6, which means that the computer offers Wi-Fi 6 connection, in addition to the traditional Ethernet ports.
As an operating system, the AORUS Prime 5 already comes with Windows 11 Home installed. Finally, the PC measures 532 x 301 x 510mm and weighs 22kg assembled.
Gigabyte highlights complete PC cooling
The PC is equipped with four Hawk Fan fans, which Gigabyte promises to offer up to 89% more air pressure and up to 42% greater flow, but does not specify which fan it is making the comparison with.
For the processor, the official website mentions the 360mm Waterforce AIO cooler, but in the promotional images we can also see a 240mm model, indicating that the cooler may vary depending on the CPU.
Unfortunately, Gigabyte does not provide suggested prices for the AORUS Prime 5, noting that it will vary depending on the region and product availability.

With memory prices increasing at a rapid and disproportionate pace, it is possible that the company does not want to price its computer that features 32GB of DDR5 modules. PCPartPicker charts show that the DDR5-5600 modules used in the AORUS Prime 5 jumped from costing a little over US$100 to almost US$400 in the last quarter alone.
