Official Gorgon Point: Ryzen AI 400 appears in AMD chipset driver

At first it went somewhat unnoticed, but AMD already mentions Ryzen AI 400 processors in its official chipset driver files. This week we had the new version 7.11.26.2142 of the Ryzen Chipset Driver arriving, but even before that, in version 7.10.02.711, a file already appeared with the new line of processors for notebooks being mentioned.

The Ryzen AI 400 series, also known as Gorgon Point, will be a refresh of AMD’s current APUs, the Ryzen AI 300 Strix Point line. The information does not come from an announcement itself, but appeared on a slide in a company presentation – including stipulating the launch of the components for 2026.

The driver in question shows a folder and an .msi file that mention Ryzen AI 400. VideoCardz explains that PMF packages are related to balancing performance and energy use in notebooks, so it makes sense for the new series of APUs.

The timing of the files’ appearance is also timely, indicating that AMD has already sent Gorgon Point processors to OEMs to build their notebooks and the latest drivers support the hardware. We hope to see the first models with the Strix Point refresh at CES 2026.

AMD has not yet made official announcements about its new line of processors for notebooks in 2026. In the rumors and leaks segment, however, four Ryzen AI 400 models are expected at the debut of the Gorgon Point series:
