AMD made available this week a new version of its drivers aimed at motherboard and processor chipsets. Ryzen Chipset Driver 7.11.26.2142 doesn’t bring a long list of new features, but it does include an important optimization for Microsoft’s operating system.
The latest Ryzen Chipset Driver finally brings official support for Windows 11 25H2, so it is a recommended update for those who like to keep their system properly updated. It also includes an update to the installer EULA and “bug fixes.”
Unfortunately, AMD is not very detailed in the list of fixed bugs, but provides more information about the known ones that can still occur – including one that we have already mentioned previously: installing versions 7.xx.xx.xx of the driver does not allow you to go back to versions 6.xx.xx.xx.

Additionally, on non-English systems, some driver names may continue to appear in English. AMD also mentions that “occasionally” Ryzen PPKG may not install or upgrade.
Products that support the new Ryzen Chipset Driver
The list of cards and processors that support the latest version of the Ryzen Chipset driver is quite extensive. Below are the models that AMD lists for motherboards:

In terms of processors, we have basically all the Ryzen ever launched, from its first generation to the most current, including models for notebooks. Even A-Series models of AMD CPUs appear on the list. The Ryzen Z line, for handhelds, seems to be the only one left out.

The download is available on AMD’s official website and installation may not be as simple as a Radeon Software update, so the company offers a step-by-step support page.
